Visitor Centre and lodging accommodation

Besides its normal activities of agriculture and farming, the Pergama company also offers balloon rides around the area of “Het Groene Woud”, a small campsite and it facilitates a local canine training school. The adding of a visitors centre and lodging expands the activities of Pergama into the recreational area. Because of these balloon rides, the view on the landscape became a central theme in the design process.

The new building separates the open landscape and the existing farm. The apartments are located at the north side of the building and aligned alongside the length of the building, on the east side. The public functions are located on the axes which run from the entrance of Pergama to the campsite. The visitor centre can thus be seen from the road. The roof terrace, which is on top of the roof, has views to the surrounding courtyard and landscape.
